Our History:
Known today as Dooley Gasket and Seal, James E. Dooley Company was originally founded as a gasket manufacturing company by Jim Dooley in 1974. Armed with his extensive knowledge of gaskets, o-rings, molded and extruded rubber parts, mechanical packing and insulation products, Jim set out to grow the James E. Dooley Company into a worldwide leader in the gasket manufacturing industry.

As the company grew, Jim recognized the need for a complete house of sealing products and founded a division of chemical tank truck parts in seals and gaskets. Thus, NuSeal was established in 1984 as a worldwide supplier of tank truck sealing products and parts.

In 1998, Jim purchased Custom Gaskets & Packing, Inc., a provider of spiral wound gaskets and custom made gaskets in North Brunswick, NJ. Jim moved the company into its present facility which is now home to a complete line of metal gaskets, from spiral wounds gaskets to double and single jacketed gaskets, corrugated and metal gaskets manufactured from all exotic metals.

Today, Dooley Gasket and Seal is a leading manufacturer and worldwide distributor of custom gaskets, providing spiral design work and using waterjet cutting equipment to cut metal up to 4” thick. Along with Flexitallic and Garlock, Dooley Gasket and Seal carries Flexpro’s, Kammprofile gaskets, Graphonic gaskets, Thermiculite and low pressure gaskets.

With the support of our customers, Dooley Gasket and Seal has been able to grow into a worldwide leader in the gasket manufacturing and distribution industry.
